Epping Town Council has, today, received official notification that the town’s War Memorial in Church Hill has been granted Grade II listed building status.Listed buildings are managed by English Heritage, but requests to obtain graded statuses have to be formally approved by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. The status itself is designed to preserve our memorial as an item of significant importance and should ensure it is protected and maintained to a high standard for generations to come.
