HELP OTHERS TO REMEMBER HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Have you booked your summer holidays yet? If so, you may be able to assist the Epping Forest Alzheimer’s Society with their latest campaign.

The society is asking local people to send them a postcard when you next enjoy a day trip or holiday in the hope that the destination will spark some happy memories for those suffering from the disease. They will also be receiving sponsorship for each postcard received.

Postcards can be sent to:

Alzheimer's Society, Epping Forest Branch, 42 Howard Close, Howard Business Park, Waltham Abbey, Essex, EN9 1XE.

For more information, please contact Lisa Hayday on 01992 717676 or by email

  3. Vintage Amethyst, thank you so much for your message. I am terribly sorry to hear about your husband's Grandfather. Indeed, diseases of the mind are often the most heart-breaking. Alzheimer’s is, of course, known as the "long goodbye" and you will know as well as I do quite how special those moments are when your loved one slips back into reality. To help that happen by doing something so simple is very worthwhile indeed, so thanks for your support.
